Flexi Tickets

The Flexi Ticket is the same rate as the basic fares with no discounts. This has been introduced to improve cancellation and amendment conditions.

The following terms and conditions apply:

·         Cancellations incur only a 5% fee of the ticket price.

·         Amendments can be made for free when keeping the origin and destination. Customer must pay the difference if new ticket is at a higher price than the original.

·         If the train is missed, this ticket allows travel for the next available train. (See train missed)

Round Trips - save 20% off the basic fare.

·         Outbound and inbound tickets must be purchased at the same time.

·         Cancellations will incur a 40% fee of the ticket price.

·         Amendments can be made for free when keeping the origin and destination. Customer must pay the difference if new ticket is at a higher price than the original.

·         If the train is missed, this ticket allows travel for the next available train. (See train missed)

Save up to 25% off when interconnecting your train with a flight

·         Save 10% off if, you interconnect your train with a flight within 48hours, going only
one way.

·         Save 25% off if, you interconnect your train with a flight within 48hours on both
outbound and return.

Over 60s Golden Card - Save up to 40% off

If you are over the age of 60 you are eligible for a ‘Tarjeta Dorada’ (‘Golden card’). This will entitle you to a 40% discount when travelling between Monday to Thursday and 25% off between Friday and Sunday, on all trains.

The one-off payment for the Golden Card is 6.00Euros and is valid for 12months. To purchase or for more information
please contact us with your passport number at hand.

‘Promo plus’ fares - Save up to 65% off when booking in advance

There may be discounted tickets of up to 65% off the basic fares. These are purely subject to availability at the time of booking and apply only to high-speed lines and long distance national trains.

The following terms and conditions apply:

·         Cancellation fee is at 30% of the ticket price.

·         Amendment fee is at 20% of the ticket price.

·         If the train is missed, this ticket allows travel for the next available train by paying a fee of 20% of the ticket price. (See missed trains)

·         Customers with these tickets may not use the Club lounge or the free car parking facilities.

‘Promo ’ fares - Save up to 70% off when booking in advance

There may be discounted tickets of up to 70% off the basic fares. These are purely subject to availability at the time of booking and apply only to high-speed lines and long distance national trains.

The following terms and conditions apply:

·         Cancellation fee is at 100% of the ticket price.

·         Amendment fee is at 100% of the ticket price.

·         If the train is missed, new tickets must be purchased for the next available train.

·         Customers with these tickets may not use the Club lounge or the free car parking facilities.

Missing your train

If for any reason which cannot be at the fault of RENFE, it is possible for the customer to travel on the next available service if they miss their train.

·         Tickets must have been purchased in advance for specific travel date and time.

·         Must arrive at the station of origin at least within 30minutes of missing the train.

·         Customers may travel in the same class or lower than the original ticket for free.

·         May also travel in a higher class carriage when paying the difference.

·         Customers may travel on the next available train of the day.

·         If the train missed is the last service of the day, customers may travel on the first available train on the following day.

·         The new train must have the same or lower performance of service. E.g. if the missed train is a High speed AVE, any other type of train can be used.

·         New tickets must be requested at the station ticket office.

·         This option is not available for customers with the ‘Promo’ fare tickets
