On board the El Transcantabrico:
Without doubt, the train’s true personality is embodied in the four lounge cars, veritable railway treasures owing to their external design and finish together with their internal décor and furnishings. These are the common areas of the train, where many have began a lasting friendship inspired by the unique ambience of the carriages.
Travellers are offered daily press, magazines, a wide selection of books from the library, television, DVD and more. In other words, all that one needs to make the journey a truly pleasant experience.
Each suite on the El Transcantabrico is especially designed to rest and privacy. Travellers can sleep silently because the train is completely stationary overnight. This means that your sleep is not disturbed by moving and jolting and allows those who enjoy nightlife an opportunity to go our and sample the atmosphere of each place.
Each compartment is equipped with a complete set of complementary bathroom accessories.
Each suite compartment has a double bed, and some have the option of an extra overhead bunk bed. All compartments are equipped with:

The private bathroom has a hydro-sauna, turbo massage, steam bath and hair dryer. Air-conditioning, heating, music and lights are controlled individually and the floors of the compartments are carpeted.
All suites have large windows allowing travellers to contemplate the passing scenery. Curtains provide the privacy one needs for rest. All cars are connected internally for the travellers’ ease of movement.

Bookings:
In order to process the booking, we will need the passenger's name as in the passport, the desired travel date, departure station (either Leon or Santiago de Compostela), and any special requirement.Unforeseen Events
The itineraries are subject to modifications, due to circumstances beyond the control of the Rail Company or due to different problems that could appear in abnormal operation of other trains, in the network where El Transcantabrico is circulating. The rail company will make the necessary endeavours to continue the journey as organised at no extra cost for travellers. If travellers choose to continue the journey with the solutions offered by the rail company, these solutions are understood to be tacitly accepted.Form of Payment
The client must pay an advance of the 40% of the total of fixed cost of the trip upon booking. At this moment the rail company will block automatically the date and reservation will be definitive. If the payment of the 40% does not take place, the trip will not be considered reservation definitive. The 60% remaining must be paid not later than 30 days prior departure.For purchases with credit cards, there is a charge of 3% on the top of the total amount.
For bank transfer in sterling, there is no extra charge although it is subject to the Euro exchange rate of that day.
The client may decide to relinquish the services reserved at any time, and is entitled to a refund of the amounts paid, except for the 15% of the total price for booking quota and reservation guarantee. This quota will be increased the later the cancellation takes place in the following way:
No amendment fees will be charged when clients change their departure date, as long as they give us notice at least 30 days prior departure and go on to make the journey in the same year. If the journey is cancelled once the date of departure has been changed, full cancellation fees (100%) shall be charged. If changing date of departure within 30 days, 15% fees of the total price shall be charged.
