Passes

RENFE offers its passengers a wide range of products for travelling in Spain and other European countries.

If you live in Europe and wish to visit one or several European countries you can travel with INTER RAIL cards. If you live outside Europe and wish to travel in Spain you can travel with a SPAIN FLEXIPASS.

Most of these cards offer special prices for people under 26.

Inter Rail

Inter Rail is a ticket for 2nd Class train travel with the companies which participate in this offer.
Inter Rail -26: Valid for young people who are under 26 on the first day of the ticket's validity.
Inter Rail +26: Valid for people over 26, with no upper age limit.
Inter Rail -12: Valid for children under 12 on the first day of the ticket's validity. Children under 4 may travel free without taking up a seat.

Eligilibility

Residents of the member countries of Inter Rail, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.

Identity and date of birth must be proved by an identity card, passport or certificate of residence valid for a period of more than 6 months in any of the above mentioned countries.

Important Notes:

In Spain, residents in our country only have the right to a 50% discount from frontier stations to their station of departure / destination and may not travel free when they acquire Zone F except in Morocco and Portugal.

Non residents in Spain may acquire Zone F (Spain, Portugal and Morocco) with the same conditions as if they had acquired it in their own countries.

Inter Rail may be acquired up to 60 days before its date of use.

Zone G: Italy (FS); Slovenia (SZ); Greece (CH); Turkey (TCDD); sea transist between Greece, Italy and v/v.; Ancona-Patrás and Brindisi-Patrás (EA/SSF); Brindisi-Corfou/Igoumentisa/Patrás (EA/BSF/MML)
Zone H: Bulgaria(BDZ); Romania (CFR); Yugoslavia (JZ); Macedonia(CFARYM)

Supplements

o Seat reservation.
o Special price for 1st Class service (meals, press, video) on trains such as Euromed, Alaris and AVE line trains.
o Bed, bunk and Couchette supplements.
• Exceptions: Supplements are charged on the following trains: Thalys (Paris - Brussels - Cologne), Eurostar (Paris - Brussels - London), ETR (Milan - Rome - Naples), Italian Cisalpino and ICE-Sprinter (Germany).
• Eurodomino ticket purchasers have the right to a 25% discount from the traveler’s station of departure to the country of destination and vice versa.
